ONE of the most disturbing aspects of the recent petrol dispute was the blatant profiteering of certain garages hyping up the price of fuel, some by as much as £2.50 a litre.
Those responsible for this greed should be named and shamed and noted for the future. Exploitation such as this should not be tolerated.
And to help local authorities deal with this issue better controls and pricing policies should be introduced by the Government making it an offence to capitalise in such emergencies.
