TONY Blair and his spin-doctors certainly got it wrong over the fuel crisis and totally mis-judged the mood of the British people.

The motorist has been ripped off for years, with almost 80 per cent of the price of petrol taken in tax.

This Government is saving up in its 'war-chest' as much as it can, to offer sweeteners for the next election and no one believes what they are being told, about farmers/hauliers' conduct outside refineries by Government Ministers.

How out of touch, how arrogant and how unreal can a Government become in just three years? Did Government Ministers speak to the protesters? No! They scrambled about for excuses and scare-mongering tactics.

A warning has been sent to this Labour Government and our town's two MPs. Listen to what's going on, accept criticism and when the people who know tell you they are struggling because of the price of fuel, please don't blame everyone else for your own mistakes.

Listen, act and don't forget the very people who voted for you.
