A PLAQUE honouring the memory of Blackburn's first ever MP has been unveiled in the town centre.
The blue plaque was the idea of the town's Civic Society and has been placed on Leyland House in King Street, the birthplace of Sir Harry Hornby.
The building is owned Marjorie and Winston Baron, who agreed to pay towards the cost of the plaque.
The couple were at the unveiling along with their tenant Pauline Walsh of Age Concern.
The borough's mayor Jack Bury was invited as guest of honour and officially unveiled the plaque.
