A YOUNG woman who took a short cut down an alleyway had her handbag, containing more than £100 in cash, snatched in broad daylight.
The incident happened between 10and 10.15am on Tuesday, September 12 as the the 18-year-old victim was walking along an alleyway off Hoghton Road, Sutton.
Just after turning into the alleyway, she was knocked to the floor from behind and her bag, containing £113 and personal papers, was snatched from her shoulder.
She looked up to see a man, aged in his early 20s and of medium build with a skinhead haircut, running down the alley with her bag. The robber was wearing black jogging bottoms made out of sweatshirt material and a blue T-shirt.
