OVER-SEDATION was ruled out as the cause of death of a nursing home resident.
A post mortem examination and other tests showed that Vera Victoria May Minza died of heart disease and there were only minimal quantities of one prescribed drug in her system at the time.
Blackburn coroner Michael Singleton had ordered the post mortem examination after concerns were expressed about the circumstances surrounding the death at Alston View Nursing Home, Longridge.
Recording a verdict of natural causes, Mr Singleton said the results showed there had been no substance in the allegations that Mrs Minza had been over-sedated.
