A PETROL crisis! Indeed! Being a pensioner, I love it.
Crossing the road became less of a struggle as the booming traffic ceased. It made me a very happy man.
Since becoming older I have used the pelican crossing, hoping I can make it to the far pavement before the little man starts flashing.
But with drivers beeping their horns and revving their engines, frustratingly, I try to run and end up exhausted, aching and panting for breath on the other side.
But with no traffic, no rushing and less noise I was a happy man.
