POLICE in Lancaster are searching for a man in his late 30s/early 40s who grabbed a 17-year-old young woman near The White Lion pub in the city. At around1am in the area of Gladstone Terrace/Bulk Road, the man approached the teenager and asked her for a light for his cigarette. After she had thrown him a box of matches he then engaged her in conversation and started to walk alongside her. He then pushed the woman into a doorway and would not let her pass. The woman managed to struggle free and contact her family on her mobile phone.
The man is a slim, white male, slim, light brown hair, shaved on top, bald patch at the rear wearing a "Sprayway" jacket.
