RADCLIFFE Borough boss Kevin Glendon is looking to concentrate on the football side of things now that the club's financial situation is out in the open.

"I think it affected everyone. I know I was horrendous as a manager for the first two or three games," said Glendon as he prepared for Saturday's home league clash with North Ferriby United (kick-off 3pm).

"We have had our first two volunteers come forward in Graham Evans and Roy Swinbank, who have taken on the match day programme. Our thanks go out to them. Now we just want a few more people to come forward.

"The chairman has had a couple of tentative enquiries about the club and a few vultures have been on the phone asking about players.

"But, really, we aren't in too bad a position. In fact, we probably owe less than any other club in the division.

"The sale of Paul Mullin helped, but if we were top of the league and going for promotion and someone came in with a £35,000 bid for the keeper we would obviously have to sell.

"It would be fabulous if we could get a good crowd on Saturday, but I am going back to the old, tried and trusted 3-5-2 formation.

"The players are happier with that. They feel more comfortable and we did well using it over the last couple of seasons.

"The bulk of the players we have almost won us promotion with it last season and they don't become bad players overnight."

Goalkeeper Steve Berryman and utility man Levi Edwards stand by for recalls and Glendon faces a difficult decision in midfield where skipper Mark Dempsey will come back into the centre with either Scot Wilson or Simon Carden standing down.

Tony Whealing is still missing with his ankle injury, but other than that Borough have a clean bill of health.
