CUSTOMS and Excise officers seized £135,000 worth of smuggled alcohol after raiding an industrial unit in Radlciffe.
They discovered 1,315 cases of vodka, gin and whisky, as well as 280 cases of beer, hidden in six rented containers.
Two transit vans found at the scene were also seized.
A 29-year-old man from Chorlton-on-Medlock and a 34-year-old man from Liverpool are being interviewed by police.
"This is another serious blow to the activities of alcohol and tobacco smugglers in the region," said Bill O'Leary for Customs and Excise.
