ANTIQUE lovers can buy, sell or exchange goods and collectables when the Bury Antiques Fair hits town.
There will be 100 stands at the Castle Armoury, Castle Street, on Saturday, (Sept 23) between 10am and 4pm, where specialist dealers will be on hand to look at items visitors want to sell themselves.
The sword-swallowing, fire-eating magician The Great Stromboli, will not only launch the fair but will also display his collection of replica Crown Jewels , on display for the final time locally before moving to their new location in Edinburgh.
Taking pride of place in the exhibition is the Queen Mother's crown featured recently on television during her centenary celebrations.
The fair's venue, the Castle Armoury, built on the site of Bury Castle, is an attraction in its own right. Situated in the town centre the Victorian building has a Norman fortified facade complete with castellations, turrets and towers. Nearby is the East. Lancs Steam Railway and Bury Market.
Entry to the fair costs £2 for adults and £1 for children and seniors.
