A FORMER recording star is reforming his band to raise funds for Wigan Hospice.
Ronnie Carr, who sang with The Beat Boys in the 60s on the Decca label, will play his final concert with the band on October 20 at Leigh Miners.
The one-off gig ends three years of charity concerts for the hospice where his father died last year.
Ronnie, of Buck Street, Leigh, who claims his band once "blew" the Rolling Stones away at the Wigan Emp, said it should be a "fantastic night."
Entry for the gig, 8pm-12.30am, will be £5.
