A HUGE array of stalls, activities and fun things to do greeted visitors to the latest new millennium celebration in Blackburn.
The Groundwork Trust had planned to hold its year 2000 festival earlier but had to postpone it due to the petrol crisis.
The event, eventually launched in Lower Darwen, was blessed with decent weather.
There was something for adults and children alike with various arts and crafts events, including lantern-making and wind-chimes and the event reached a spectacular climax with a massive firework display.
