TRAIN services on the Liverpool to Wigan North Western line were disrupted after a lorry struck the rail bridge in Laffak Road, Laffak, on Monday, October 16, at 4pm.
Some services were diverted via Earlestown and a total of 30 trains were delayed. The average delay was 10 minutes per train. Seven trains were unable to complete their journeys as a result of the accident.
Normal rail service resumed at 6pm.
