CONCERNED horse riders are saddling up in support of a campaign to reduce the number of accidents involving horses and riders on the roads.
This Saturday (October 21) has been designated National Horse Road Safety Day and about 30 people from Marleston's Livery Yard in Clock Face will be taking part in a ride in St Helens to raise awareness of riding and road safety.
A spokesman for the riders, said: "We want to work with motorists to try and reduce the number of accidents involving horses and riders and to make the roads safer. The road safety campaign is very much about urging horse riders to behave correctly on the roads too."
