Leigh have already held a series of talks with the 20-year-old and will conclude a final deal once Svabic is off contract at Salford in November.

And he's likely to be joined at Hilton Park by Ireland and former Great Britain international back rower Dave Bradbury who is moving closer to striking an agreement with the Centurions.

Svabic, a long-time target of Leigh's, is a gifted stand-off, full-back or centre and is a prolific goalkicker. Last season with the City Reds, Svabic made several senior appearances while clocking up 176 points in the Alliance side at the Willows.

"He's just the type of player we are looking at to compliment our squad," says head coach Paul Terzis. "He's the right age, has the right attitude and has all the qualities. I'm looking forward to working with him."

Bradbury, who has linked up with the Ireland squad for the Lincoln World Cup, is also keen on a move to Leigh from Huddersfield.

"We have more talks and I'm pretty hopeful that we can reach an agreement before the World Cup starts," says Terzis.

Leigh have offered a deal to Neil Turley who has now fully recovered from a serious knee injury.
