IN reply to Beth Raeburn (Letters, October 18) who praises the "Bleakburn Bugle" and attempts to undermine Pauline Vaughan for her earlier criticism of this underground "paper," I would point out that Pauline has worked long and hard to improve the future of Blackburn.
Pauline has also built up two successful businesses in the town and provides a number of local people with jobs.
She is therefore, in my opinion, far more qualified to comment on the town and any local publications than someone who visits from affluent Hampshire.
