AN animal charity is appealing for volunteers to lend a helping hand in its shop on The Rock.
The People's Dispensary for Sick Animals provides vets for pets whose owners could not otherwise afford them and its Bury shop is reliant on voluntary help.
Shop manager Marjorie Kennedy said: "With hundreds of fresh items displayed every day it's vital to have enough volunteers. If you can spare a few hours please get in touch."
