EURO MP Gary Titley has joined top footballers in a bid to stamp out racism in sport.
He has helped launch a video titled Show Racism the Red Card which features 60 of the world's top players, including Manchester United stars Andy Cole and Ryan Giggs, speaking out against discrimination.
The video was produced by a registered charity with the help of EU money. It gives advice on how to deal with and fight racism, and comes with a magazine and education pack for schools.
"The video leaves no one in any doubt that racism cannot and will not be tolerated, wherever it appears," said Radcliffe-based MEP Mr Titley, who attended the official launch of the video at the European Parliament with former England player John Barnes.
"Many football clubs in the North West are already involved in the campaign to kick racism out of sport. But we can't rest on our laurels, the fight goes on. That is why this new video is so important."
