A WOMAN has died following a serious traffic accident on Bayhorse Road in Ellel on Saturday.
A Ford Mondeo and Fiesta collided at a junction causing serious injuries to the occupants.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the people who were trapped inside the wreckage. The female passenger of the Mondeo, Slyvia Crompton from Preston, was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Others were treated for neck and back injuries.
