WATER baby Jasmine Walker has splashed her way to a possible world record.

Little Jasmine swam the length of a 25 metre swimming pool - unaided - just one week after her second birthday!

And her father Will is looking into the possibility that it may be something of a record.

The toddler is now the proud owner of a 25 metre badge and certificate after swimming a length of Lancaster University's pool.

And she did it without a float or armbands.

"I'm delighted - over the moon," said Will, who is a swimming coach.

"She started when she was just eight weeks old and really enjoys being in the water. I always try to make it fun and she's a natural. She's developed by playing and can do backstroke and breaststroke. I've not really pushed her - she loves swimming and being in the water."

Will recently hit the headlines after swimming the length of Lake Windermere, which took him an incredible nine hours.

And his older daughter Jade managed to master butterfly by the age of five.

But he also rates Jasmine's achievement as something special.

"She had only just turned two when she did it.

"I'd love to see her continue to enjoy swimming and progress further. Who knows what level she could be at in a few years time?"
