AS a pensioner who likes nothing better than a good night out, I was very happy to read that Preston Playhouse is opening its doors on October 25 to a new play by The Broughton Players (Citizen October 12).
Over the years I have enjoyed many productions from all the groups who perform there and have never been disappointed.
Although the actors are only amateurs they give a first-class performance every time and many could give a Hollywood star a run for their money any day.
Also, the people who create the lovely sets and control the lighting etc do a splendid job -- just as good a night as at the Guild Hall.
A night at the Playhouse is well worth a visit. Long make the venue continue as one of the best nightspots in Preston!
