I WOULD just like to express my appreciation and great thanks to The Citizen newspaper for the publicity of my recent photographic exhibition, Preston And Its People, held in the annex of the Harris Museum.

Any my thanks must also go to to the helpful museum staff and to workers at the Guild Enterprises in Maitland Street, especially for the diligent attention given by Mr Terry Lomas (instructor) and the picture framing team of Paul, Liz and Andrew.

I would also like to express sincere thanks to D Whittle Joiners who managed to answer a last minute SOS call.

The company sent Toby, who did a fabulous job to expertly hang the artwork in such a professional manner.

Their contribution was absolutely invaluable to us.

The exhibition itself proved to be a great success.

I was delighted that the mayor and mayoress of the town, Mr and Mrs Joe Hood, took time to visit it and they took a great interest in this collection of Preston and its people.

And of course, thanks to all the members of the general public who came to view the exhibition. I hope you all enjoyed it.

Also thanks to the 'four musketeers', the team who took such care in delivering the 61 frames to the museum.

Marjorie Amriding.
