OF late there have been several articles in the press about local transport, the attributes (of which there are few) and inadequacies (of which there are many).

One may query if these PSVs are legally on the road as the conditions of some are appalling.

I'm sure that if they were correctly monitored, very few would be on the road if only because of their diesel fuel emissions which are horrendous.

Unfortunately this goes for the general decline of everything in the town -- the only good suggestion some years ago was to construct a monorail on the Promenade. This, as a money spinner, would have been a great asset but, like everything else in this God-forsaken town, never came to fruition.

The town motto of "Progress" is the biggest laugh of all time, as there hasn't been any since people like the Bickerstaffes passed away. It is time for those in the town hall to come out of their dream world instead of languishing in their ivory towers paid for by Messrs Bancroft and Co,
