A LOCAL radio DJ appeared in court today charged with the murder of a Bolton woman.
Paul Sharpe, aged 30, from Wellington Road, Bury, was charged with the murder of Breightmet mother-of-one Sarah Widdup.
Sharpe appeared in the dock at Bolton Magistrates Court flanked by two security guards.
He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with a le coq sporti logo on the front and did not speak during the two-minute hearing.
He was remanded in custody until a week today. There was no application for bail.
Miss Widdup was found dead at her home in Deepdale Road, Breightmet, last Saturday.
