RACHEL HUMPHREYS, a year nine student at St Augustine's RC High School, Billington, has sent us her thoughts on the book JOHN PAUL II-- CHRONICLE OF A REMARKABLE LIFE, published by Dorling Kindersley at £12.99.
I FOUND this a very interesting, factual book, helpfully setting out each year of the Pope's life, page by page.
Starting with his birth in 1920, every page shows many illustrations and maps as well as giving fascinating
information and a summary of the year, so that the reader is easily able to follow his chronological progress.
Although I did enjoy reading the book, I felt that I may get even more out of it in the future, as parts were probably written for slightly older readers.
This is definitely one to treasure.
