ISN'T it about time the Good Companions Writers of St Helens ceased their bleatings about the appointment of 'Freemen'?
They have made their suggestions. They have made these known to our St Helens Council. It is surely up to the members of this body, all intelligent and responsible citizens, to pursue further action should they feel it merited.
If they do not feel it merited -- as seems to be the case -- well then, so be it.
