This game was played in atrocious conditions but both sides were a credit to themselves.
Good tackling kept the score down a tight and tough first half with Chris Webster scoring for Portico. It was only when Portico tired from their hard tackling effort late in the game that Halton finally gained the upper hand.
Man of the match for Portico was Jamie Bradshaw, top tackler was David Lee and the coaches nominated Philip Kilgallon for their award.

Portico came away with a hard-earned and creditable draw.
Man of the match Bradley Ashurst featured high in the tackle count and also scored four tries.
Top tackler was Luke O'Keefe who was pushed all the way by coaches award winners Adam Pye and Jack Jones who crossed for five tries.
