THE St Helens under 15s school soccer squad produced a superb display to win 3-1 away to Burnley in the Heinz-sponsored National Trophy with two goals by Castley (Rainhill) and one by Dixon (St Augustine's).
They now have a home tie against Barrow or South Tyneside in the third round.
And following their cup victory they registered a 3-3 draw against Mid-Cheshire with goals by Martin, Castley (both Rainhill) and Melling (Haydock).
The under 14s played their Merseyside League game away to Sefton in very difficult conditions and went down to the only goal of the game.
And the under 11s came up against a strong, well-organised Wirral side and went down 7-1 with their consolation goal coming from man-of-the-match Stephen King (District).
