A GRAND parade will herald the start of one of the most spectacular Christmas light displays to be seen in St Helens town centre.
The switch-on will be held on Saturday, November 18, and will be marked by a grand procession led by Father Christmas, departing from Church Square at 4.45pm. However, there will be non-stop entertainment in Church Square from noon to 4pm.
The parade will finish in the new-look Victoria Square for the grand switch-on finale at 5pm. Radio City will be providing entertainment between 3.30 and 5.30pm and there will be bands, competitions and giveaways.
There will also be a Christmas Fayre for the Willowbrook Hospice which will be held between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
