VOLUNTEER cooks are being asked to come forward to help Age Concern with two projects in Blackburn.
An urgent recruitment drive is in full swing to get volunteers to help prepare and serve snacks and light meals at the Age Concern coffee shop and also at the Limbrick Hall Daycare Centre.
Christine Nuttall, Age Concern's volunteer co-ordinator, said: "We are not looking for fully-fledged chefs, simply people who enjoy and have an interest in cooking to help us in these two vital services.
"The menus are not difficult to prepare, the atmosphere is friendly and support is provided."
Anyone who is interested and has a few hours a week to spare should contact Age Concern Blackburn with Darwen at 4 King Street, Blackburn or telephone 01254 664242.
