MORE than 20 members attended the annual meeting of the Rossendale group of the Ramblers Association at the Weavers' Cottage, Rawtenstall.
Officers elected were: chairman, Ian Tattersall; secretary, Alan Johnson; footpath secretary, Walter Waide; publicity officer, Walter Waide; Committee: Joan Breeze, Gretchen Pyves, Reg Rattan, Richard Sumner and Noel Booth.
Walter Waide won the Walk of the Year for the second year in succession for his Helm Crag walk in June. More than 17 walks were nominated in the voting showing the breadth of choice available to members.
A slide show was presented by Jim and Bertha Roston.
The walk on Sunday will be Richard Sumner's 11-mile trek around Swindale and Selside Fell in the Lake District.
