UPBEAT Scunthorpe United boss Brian Laws believes his side is still capable of pulling off an FA Cup shock.

The Third Division side were only a couple of minutes away from knocking Burnley out in the original meeting at Turf Moor ten days.

But Laws insists that Lennie Johnrose's late leveller hasn't cost his underdogs a place in the fourth round for the first time in 17 years.

The former Clarets defender said: "That's one record we would like to put right. Tonight is a big match for us. The League is the priority but the FA Cup can mean so much in terms of finance.

"The pressure is all on them. They are a First Division club and still firm favourites to go through.

"People may think we've missed our best chance of winning through but our home form is still very good.

"We've shown that we can be more than a match for them and we have to be confident when playing at home."

The Iron have gone six League games without a win to slip to ninth in the table.

But they have been beaten just twice at Glanford Park and only lost to table-topping Chesterfield courtesy of a late deflected goal on Saturday.

"I was pleased with the whole team and if we can play like that again tonight then I'm sure we can give Burnley another good game.

"It's a game we are certainly going into with plenty of confidence," Laws added.
