I ADD to Jim Kenyons's tribute to Neil Hawke (Sports Letters, January 3) and agree with all he said.
To lose such great competitors as Neil and Peter Swart so early in life and within such a short space of time saddened me and I am sure, many like me who played with and against both players in the 1960s and 1970s.
I am therefore pleased that the Lancashire Evening Telegraph published a suitable tribute to a man with all the best qualities of the Australian cricketer.
