EURO MP Terry Wynn, whose North West constituency includes St Helens, is to speak at a top level conference in Paris to discuss ways of modernising European Parliaments.
Terry has been invited as chairman of the European Parliaments Budgets Committee, and will play a key role in discussions where the central theme is 'Holding the Executive Accountable: the Changing Role of the Parliament in the Budget Process.'
He said: "It's an honour for someone from the North West to be involved in such a gathering. I hope I can reflect the common sense approach that people from the North West would expect from one of their own."
