A WOMAN of 90 was knocked to the ground by a thief who snatched her handbag. The attacker struck as she returned to her home in Stainton Close, Clinkham Wood, at 7.50pm on Sunday, January 14, following an evening out.
He suddenly appeared at her side and snatched at the white, imitation leather bag, pushing the woman to the ground. He ran off with the bag, which contained £21, a pair of spectacles and papers, leaving his victim needing treatment for injuries to her arm and fingers.
