POLICE in St Helens are appealing for witnesses to a robbery at Victoria Wines off-licence, Church Road, Haydock.
Just before the shop closed at 9.55pm on Thursday, January 11, a man burst in and threatened staff. He demanded keys to the till and stole its contents.
He was described as about 6ft, wearing a black bomber jacket, black trousers and a peak cap with black ear flaps.
He had a scarf pulled up over his face but was not thought to have been carrying a weapon. It is believed that customers may have been in the shop just before the robbery and anyone with information is asked to contact DC Mick Bowes at St Helens CID on 0151 777 6064 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
