THERE were some spooky happenings in Sunnyhurst Woods, Darwen, but there is no need to be afraid.
For 'ghostwalker' Simon Entwistle was leading a party of about 40 through the woods and treating them to some of the best ghost stories around.
The walk, organised by Blackburn with Darwen Council's Countryside Wardens, took people through the woods at the dead of night and with only small torches for light it made for a very atmospheric setting.
Simon (pictured with guests) is famous for his Ribble Valley ghost tales and is researching Blackburn's paranormal activity in preparation to release a book and set up a Blackburn walk.
