DARWEN Heritage Centre is organising a huge jumble sale to help raise enough money for a van.
The centre, situated on Bolton Road, needs a van to transport large objects to and from the building.
Recently, staff had to rely on people's generosity to carry tables from Darwen Technical School and it has been difficult in the past to get things to the centre.
Staff also hope to auction of a collection of paintings that has come into their possession from a local artist of which the centre will take 30 per cent of the takings and the rest going to the painter.
