A TEENAGER was punched in the face and robbed of a mobile phone during a bus journey through Prestwich.
The 16-year-old boy, who was returning to his home in Salford, was approached from behind by two thugs and was struck on the chin by one of the thieves who grabbed the £94 phone.
Both offenders got off the bus at Newton Street in Prestwich shortly before 7pm on Thursday (Jan 18).
They are described as Asian males, approximately 17, tall and wearing dark sports clothing.
Anyone who witnessed the attack or saw the offenders get off the bus is asked to contact Whitefield CID on 856 8248 and quote reference number GMP194125/01.
