PUPILS at Leigh's Apple Dance Centre are in great demand when it comes to panto.

Girls from the Twist Lane school have just completed a double take in a two week run of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs at Warrington's Parr Hall.

They played both the dance chorus line and the little septet.

And it was their second production of the show in a matter of weeks.

Another set of pupils starred in the same panto in Oswaldtwistle just before Christmas.

Principal Nora Appleyard said: "We were kept busy rehearsing for two completely different shows, but the girls have really enjoyed working with the professional company, British Stage Productions.

Included in the show were Amy Lewis, Yvonne Gregson, Laura Orrell, Jessica Lee, Rebecca Hastings, Charlotte Walsh, Sophie Mitchell, Leanne Green, Kirsty Hudson, Alison McCann, Shelley Hudson, Chloe Staunton, Emma Roberts and Cosette Staunton.

The school is now preparing a new showcase for the British Disco Dance Championships at Pontins at Easter.

Last year the girls lifted the title with their performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

And parents have formed the Appledance Players to perform for the first time -- the panto Aladdin at Lowton Civic Hall on February 19, curtain up at 7pm.

Tickets are available from the dance centre or by ringing 01942 674010.
