POLICE have identified the body of an Asian woman found dead in a frozen field last year.
The woman, who was found in a ditch at Treales, near Kirkham, on December 27 has been named as Chandrika Suryakant Patel, 50, from Wembley, north London.
Mrs Patel was reported missing from her home on November 20.
Murder squad detectives are appealing for information to try to discover how Mrs Patel came to Lancashire and what she was doing in the county.
