THREE men tried to use a stolen credit card to pay for petrol, food and phone cards in the Tickled Trout garage, Preston New Road, Samlesbury.
After putting petrol in their blue T-registered Vauxhall Corsa, they chose several things from the shop and tried to pay at 3.50pm on Friday, October 20.
When challenged by an alert assistant, they fled, leaving the card behind.
The men were all Asian and in their early 20s with short, dark hair. One of the passengers was 6ft tall with a prominent nose while the other passenger, who wore a baseball cap, was 5ft 10in with a local accent, a gap in his front teeth and a stubbly face.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or speak to any police officer.
