YOUNG people across East Lancashire can be sure of "royal" treatment when they attend this year's Jobs Events at the homes of football rivals Blackburn Rovers and Burnley.

Organisers promised the events will be bigger and better than ever with details of hundreds of Modern Apprenticeship vacancies on offer.

Seana Dooley has been appointed by 11 local training groups to make sure the Jobs Events 2001 event builds on the success of similar events organised by ELTEC in previous years.

Seana, 28, of Chorley, was recruitment and training manager for the British Red Cross in Preston for the last two years.

Her new role as events organiser will involve bringing together bosses, trainers, teachers, young people and their parents from across East Lancashire.

"Jobs Events 2001 is an exciting opportunity for East Lancashire's employers to find young people who are willing and able to fill the growing numbers of Modern Apprenticeships available locally," said Seana.

"For local school and college leavers, it could be a crucial first step to assessing the jobs and qualifications which can ensure they are the managers, technicians and professionals of tomorrow."

Employers interested in taking a stand at one of the events can contact Seana on 01254 681001.

The events will be held at Ewood Park on March 22 and a week later at Turf Moor.
