MANIC STREET PREACHERS: Found That Soul (Epic/Sony) --They're back and, with a two great tracks like these, the Manics are here to stay. Reminiscent of the controversial Masses Against The Classes, this displays their early punk influences well. Being a devotee of the band, I am slightly biased but even the most cynical out there will have to agree, our favourite Welshmen have made a spectacular return. (10/10) CC

THIRTEEN 13: 50 Stories (Polydor) -- Ever watched someone make mistakes but, for all your kicking and screaming, there was nothing you could do to help? That feeling provides the backdrop to this indie track. But, despite being Placebo-influenced, there are enough signs pointing to a young band that will be massive. (8/10) CL Albums ROTHKO: In The Pulse Of An Artery, (Bella Union) -- Second release from the Bella Union's Series 7 collection. Championing the best in instrumental music through seven albums, each features seven tracks. Rothko is the work of three bass players but, surprisingly, there is something captivating here. I didn't know the bass guitar could sound so enchanting. (8/10) CL
