A TEENAGER whose mother was involved in the Indian earthquake has helped his school raise more than £1,000 for the Lancashire Evening Telegraph-backed Earthquake Appeal.
Witton Park High School pupil Zubair Fozdar's mum was visiting relatives in Gujarat with her brother and sister when the earthquake struck in January. 30,000 people were said to have died -- but fortunately 11-year-old Zubair's family was unhurt. His school held a non-uniform day raising £1,250 for the appeal.
