A FUND-raiser with a difference proved a real hair-raiser for pupils and staff at Nelson's Holy Trinity RC primary school.
The wacky hair-do day saw teachers and youngsters rolling in with all shapes and colours of quiff.
The sponsored event also allowed youngsters to let their hair down in another way as the hair event was linked with a non-uniform day.
The fun day, backed by the Friends of the school, raised £200 for the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust, a group which sends handicapped kids on holidays or pilgrimages to Lourdes.
