A COMPLEX in Colne to house more than 40 elderly people and young people with learning difficulties looks set to be approved tonight by councillors.
Heydock Developments wants to build 14 semi-detached bungalows and an 18-bedroom retirement home off Foulds Close and a courtyard of 12 apartments with care off Hawley Street.
The two-storey retirement home would be behind houses at Grindlestone Hirst and the apartments would be part single storey and part two storey. The bungalows would back on to Knotts Drive.
Officers will advise Colne and district committee to recommend the application subject to conditions, including the construction of an access road and off-street parking.
