HYNDBURN councillors have want to stay put in their existing building rather than move offices.
The policy and resources committee has asked officers to try and buy the existing Eagle Street offices in Accrington rather than move to new premises in the town.
Enterprise PLC, which owns the former education building, is selling off its property portfolio, including the Eagle Street offices, which has been home to much of the council for several years.
Council officers discussed the alternatives behind closed doors and were told that it would be cost-effective for the council in future to own a building rather than rent.
