BARRY Kilby has urged the Clarets to get Blackburn out of their mind and look forward to tomorrow night's last derby-date of the season.

Burnley go into the televised clash against Preston at Turf Moor smarting at a 5-0 spanking by Rovers.

But the chairman insists that his club and its supporters shouldn't dwell on that setback and instead focus on securing a decent finish to the season.

Kilby said: "I know we're all disappointed about Sunday but we can't get too hung up about that sort of thing. We can't get too carried away by one result.

"We don't want to get obsessed with Blackburn Rovers. What they have had is unbelievable. They have had money from a source that won't be duplicated by anyone.

"If we get in the top half we will have done superbly working from the base we have come from.

"Again you go back to the start of the season and if you'd said that on April 1 we would be tenth in the table you would have been happy with that."

Burnley are set for further disappointment at the gate but aside from the cash issue may be lifted by the fact that play-off chasing Preston won't have maximum travelling support behind them.

North End have admitted that they are struggling to sell their 4,000 tickets for the game which is being screened live by Sky.

The Clarets have been disappointed by the level of away support at Turf Moor this season and less than capacity tomorrow night will be a further blow to finances.

On the field, Preston skipper Sean Gregan is expected to be fit despite a knock sustained against Gillingham last Saturday, and Lee Cartwright and recent loan signing Richard Cresswell are also in training following illness scares.
