A MAN killed himself by taking a cocktail of prescription drugs and alcohol.
An inquest, which heard evidence from four women, was told that 49-year-old labourer Gerard Francis Boyle, from Blackburn, had been upset after being evicted from his mother's house.
The dead man's sister, Veronica Boyle, said the eviction had been necessary because he had been stealing from their mother because he was unemployed.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Boyle had taken a massive dose of paracetamol and this combined with alcohol and propoxyphene had proved fatal.
Recording a verdict of suicide, coroner Michael Singleton said he was satisfied that at the time he took the tablets, Mr Boyle had intended to take his own life.
